Conventional frame blades, beam blades and hybrid blades all fit different arm styles, and a blade that clips on but sits at the wrong angle will chatter and leave streaks.
Listings state the length in inches and the connector: pin, hook, side lock, bayonet or the specific push-button type used on some European vehicles. Where a vehicle uses different lengths on each side, that is called out because buyers usually assume they are the same.
Beam blades perform better at speed and in snow because they have no exposed frame to pack with ice. Conventional blades are cheaper and work fine in mild climates.
Blades are a consumable and should be replaced yearly in most of the United States, and more often where the vehicle is parked outside in strong sun.
